Mr Jorgo (Giorgos) Krallis
Information about the artist

Jorgo Krallis is a well known respected artist with an international reputation. To buy a Krallis is an investment for the future, and the print will give you joy for years to come.

The great ancient poet Simonides (557-468 B.C.) from the island of Kea in the Greece archipelago is said to have said that “a picture is as a silent poem but poetry is as a speaking picture”. He couldn't have been more wrong: The art of Jorgo Krallis is all but silent. You can clearly hear the voices of laughter and life, joy and humor from all his happy and lively pictures.

Jorgo Krallis is a Greek-born artist living in Sweden since 1966. He is born 1937 in Thessaloniki, Greece, he is married and has one child. Krallis has lived and studied in many places around Europe; Greece, Paris, Munich, Amsterdam and now right outside of Stockholm in Sweden. He has had exhibitions among others in Sweden, Greece, USA and Spain and his art has been purchased by many museums around the world. In 1999 he had a retrospective exhibition in his hometown in the Municipal Art Gallery of Tessaloniki, a rare honour for any artist. He has also made many public decorations such as a 6 meter high sculpture/mobile in Malmö, a sealing decoration in the Karolinska Institutet and St Görans hospital in Sweden and tapestry for interior decoration in the New Tokyo General Hospital. Also carpets have been made with Krallis design.

His pictures are undisciplined, unpredictable, whimsy and full of anecdotic elements, small details and absurd happy outbursts. The artist himself often describes his work as depictions of “Circus Mundi” / the world circus

Now Jorgo Krallis original art prints are internationally sold by BestNetArt Artgallery.
