Mr Keshav Malla
Information about the artist

In the works of Keshav Malla you can feel the oriental origin of the artist. Mr Malla was born in Kathmandu, Nepal in 1944. He got his basic art education in his home country, but already in 1967 he moved to Paris were he has studied at many of the major art schools in France.
Keshav Malla has specialized in non-figurative art.  His art is like a “Jackson Pollock” but more structured or like a “Victor Vasarely” but much wilder. The oriental roots can be found in the fine ornate forms, spirals and traces of Sanskrit alphabet. Looking at a “Malla” you see a millisecond of time in a seemingly “frozen” picture. You soon start to wonder what happened before the picture was frozen, what will happen next? How would the forms and curves have developed if allowed to?
