Galina Pavlova
Information about the artist

Beautiful colours, dreamlike fantasy and round, attractive forms is what characterizes a typical picture by Galina Pavlova, an artist and printmaker born 1962 in Bulgaria. She uses a unique graphic technique, combining in a specific way etching, aquatint and monotype. The bright colours of a typical “Pavlova” are achieved by several printings and combinations of intaglio processes. As a viewer of the art by Pavlova you must let your imagination flow with tide of the artwork.

The printing plate she uses is made of zinc which has a limited durability and limits the numbers of prints per picture. A normal edition is 20-30 copies which again make the art prints more sought after by art collectors.

Galina Pavlova has illustrated 3 children’s books, writes poetry and has created more than 300 graphic works since 1987 She has also won several diplomas prizes in art competitions..
We believe Galina Pavlova will achieve even greater fame in the future.

Galina Pavlovas message ...
"The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious" (Albert Einstein)

This quotation inspires me. When I work in my studio I feel the mystery of creation; the world that passes through my spirit and imagination transforms itself into a new parallel world of silence, strange images and colors. These images take on a life of their own, and sometimes, when I look at the end result of the lengthy print process, I am even more amazed than anyone else might be.

The color print technique I use in my work is the best tool for conveying my ideas, my thoughts and my feelings to the viewer. I do hope that through my artwork, I can make someone somewhere - with help of their own intelligence and imagination - "experience the mysterious".
