In many of Krallis' picture we find toys. When he was young his mother had a toyshop back in Greece. It must be the happy memories from the childhood that influences the artist to include toys in his pictures. Here we have a cracker type of box cracking and out there comes many peculiar things. The box is opened by 4 children pulling the ropes with their teeth.

This is a picture with a message. If you have been to Greece you know that canary birds are often kept in small cages outside people's homes or shops. The cage is small and the bird is unhappy.
