Alain SOUCASSE begun his career in Stockholm where Olle Granath, art critic and director of the Moderna Museet, discovered him. At this time, his figurative works were visually strong and his style closed to Jean Charles Blais, precursor of the Figuration Libre in France.
Later on, Alain left Sweden for his hometown in Provence where he then focused on abstraction. Mixing figurative with abstraction has enabled him to elaborate a very personal and recognizable style.
