BestNetArt at Miniprint 2004    July 2004

We had the fantastic possibility to have a look at all the entries to the MINIPRINT FINLAND 2004 miniprint triennal in the city of Lahti, Finland. A total of almost 3000 prints by nearly 800 artists from 60 countries!

It is a joy to notice that small art prints is a form of art that is widespread all around the world and very vital and versatile. Anyone can find something that pleases his or her eyes and suits the art collection- or interior decoration needs.

5th INTERNATIONAL MINIPRINT TRIENNIAL
5.11.2004-16.01.2005 Lahti Art Museum

The Hounourable Patron of the event is President of Finland, Tarja Halonen

Out of all the 800 artist and, independently of the official jury, we chose a handful of artist with whom we would like to cooperate. We intend to contact these artist and get their art for sale at BestNetArt Artgallery as soon as possibly. The artists chosen by us represent the best of the best. We think their art is excellent. Black and white or colour, simple in design or complex, easy to understand or not, but always of very good quality and craftsmanship. It is also important that the art fits the style of the gallery and that people want to buy it.

Many of the entries to the Triennale represent very good art and artistic values. Many entries do not. We found that a lot of the art of today is gray in colour, look sinister and even depressing. This is art you would not want to hang on your wall an look at every day!

We were happy to notice that the artists we have chosen so far, Bo Cronqvist, Jorgo Krallis, Juha Tammenpää, Maarit Kontiainen, Raili Tala and Kristiina Lehtonen, clearly represent what we define as good art.
